VOLCOM STONE’S GECKOFISH SURF SERIES

It seems that the sun really favors Volcom Stone’s Geckofish Surf Series last Sunday, as it was blaring from start to finish that day. The waves started slow at the beginning of the day but it got better and better as the contest progresses.





First up was the Under 14s. Lembongan’s Kadek Ediana Putra was totally ripping, he blew away all his competition and led the scoreboard from qualifications round up to the finals and ended up snagging the first place.



The finals of the Under 17s was a real nail biter, where the four finalists competed neck in neck with radical maneuvers such as air, snap and round house cut back and raking up in points. It was a tight heat but Putra Hermawan came out on top, beating Putu Anggara to a second place just by a few points.



The Pro-Am division also had the finalists dropping seriously big airs, but too bad points for Putra Hermawan and Wayan Susiana had to be cut in half due to drop in violations. Tia Nustawan was the one who then won the first place.
